SBI has given step by step information to customers from its Twitter handle regarding reissue and blocking of lost debit cards.
First of all block your ATM card using these steps
- If you are a SBI customer and your ATM card is lost, first of all dial 1800 112 211 and 1800 425 380 from the mobile number registered with the bank.
- To block the ATM card, you press the number 0
- After this you press the digit of 1 and also type the last 5 digits of your ATM card
- Press 1 again to confirm your information
- With this your ATM card will be blocked. Whose information will come immediately on your mobile number
Use these easy steps apply for atm card
- SBI customers first dial 1800 112 211 and 1800 425 380 from the mobile number registered with the bank.
- Press 1 digit to replace your old ATM card
- After this type your birth year (date of birth).
- Press 1 to confirm your details and 2 to cancel. With this your new card request will be registered.
- This new ATM card will reach your address registered with the bank within a few days.
The same process will be followed for HDFC and ICICI Bank customers.
HDFC and ICICI Bank customers can also block the card and get a new card issued by visiting their bank’s customer care number or by going to their internet banking account.
