The State Bank of India (SBI) has opened an ATM on a houseboat on Dal Lake in Srinagar for the convenience of locals and tourists. Floating ATM was launched on August 16th by SBI Chairman Dinesh Khare. What’s more, not only does it meet the long-standing needs of the region, floating ATMs also make Srinagar more attractive.

SBI launched the first floating ATM in Kerala in 2004. This SBI floating ATM was installed on a junker yacht owned by Kerala Shipping and Inland Navigation Corporation (KSINC). This ferry operates between Ernakulam and the Vaipeyan region. SBI’s first floating ATM was commissioned by Ashok K, then Deputy Managing Director of the Mumbai Corporate Center. Launched by Kinney.
