CBI arrests 7; The search continues in Indore

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested seven accused in connection with the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2021). The agency is currently focusing on Indore. The CBI found that the intention of the private companies was to take Rs 15 lakh from the students and have another person write the exam in their name. They also assured that the students would be able to pass the entrance exam through this scam.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided 20 places in various cities, including Delhi, Pune and Jamshedpur. During the raids, 25 laptops, seven computers and 30 post-dated checks were recovered.

The CBI registered a case against a private company, its directors, three employees and private individuals.

The JEE Main Session 4, which ended on September 2, was attended by 7.32 lakh people.
