Amazon has started a special store for farmers on its platform. From here farmers can buy all the things related to agriculture in their own language and can get them directly at their homes. That is, there is also the facility of home delivery here. Amazon has named it Kisan Store.
Farmers can now buy farming equipment, seeds, crop protection and other farm equipment on Amazon. Kisan Store has been launched in collaboration with the Government of India to bring about a massive change in the agriculture sector. It is currently available in five languages. Farmers can shop using any one of Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam languages.
Goods will reach home in one click
Talking about the Kisan Store, Amit Agarwal, Global Senior VP and Country Head, Amazon India said, “We are excited to partner with the Government of India to empower farmers with technology. The rapid penetration of smartphones and the Internet can help in providing a whole new experience to Indian agriculture. The launch of Kisan Store is our first step towards creating an ecosystem for farmers that will enable them to place orders at the click of a button and get the products of their choice delivered to their doorsteps.
Kisan Store will make it easier for farmers across the country to access farm equipment at competitive prices. In addition to Amazon’s online platform, farmers can shop at any of the more than 50,000 Amazon Easy stores across the country.
Cash on delivery facility is also available
Amazon Easy Store owners will help farmers identify the product of their choice, create an Amazon account, order and checkout to buy. Farmers can buy what they need from thousands of agricultural products from more than 20 brands.
There is no problem in depositing money after purchase, so all the options have been kept. Farmers can pay with Net Banking, UPI, Amazon Pay, Debit and Credit cards. At the same time, the option of cash on delivery is also present here as usual.
