Haryana’s Cooperation Minister Dr. Banwari Lal has said that sugarcane farmers in Haryana have been paid in full for their crop. Payment of sugarcane has been made to the farmers by all the cooperative mills. Crushing work will be started in all sugar mills in the first week of November. While assuring the sugarcane farmers, he said that just as the farmers were not allowed to face any kind of problem during the last season, in the same way the sugarcane farmers will not face any problem during the coming season. There are 11 sugar mills in Haryana.

Dr. Banwari Lal has appealed to the sugarcane farmers to sow sugarcane at a distance. So that the sugarcane crop can be properly harvested by the harvester. He said that cutting sugarcane with harvester will reduce the cost, which will benefit the farmers. The Managing Directors of all sugar mills have been directed to complete the maintenance work of the mills by September 30, so that there is no problem during the crushing of sugarcane.

highest rate claim

The Cooperation Minister claimed that the highest rate of sugarcane is being given in Haryana state. Our sugar mills are doing good work, due to which the rate of sugar across the state is Rs 35-36. Similarly, the rate of sera is also 1100-1200 quintals. This will benefit the mill, whose benefit will directly go to the farmers.

Companies in touch with proposals to make biofuels

Jitendra Kumar, managing director of Sugarfed, said that many big companies have approached the government with a proposal to make biofuel from press-mud. This is being considered. Press-Mud is a bio-product made from the milling of sugarcane. On the other hand, Subhash Barala, chairman of the Bureau of Public Enterprises, has said that soil health cards will be made for the sugarcane growers. Awareness will be made about better and fertile crop of sugarcane.

Call for adoption of aerial irrigation

Barala has called upon the farmers to adopt new technology to increase the production of sugarcane and sugar in the state. New methods such as aerial irrigation should be emphasized for better crop yields, including drone irrigation. He also talked about adopting multi cropping system. He said that awareness can be brought among the farmers about better sugarcane production through Kisan Goshtis.
