The new service charges for State Bank of India Basic Savings Bank Deposit (BSBD) account holders will come into effect from July 1. These new fees will apply to ATM withdrawals, check book, transaction and other non-financial transactions.
With KYC documents any person can open a State Bank of India Basic Savings Bank Account. SBI does not require minimum balance in BSBD account. Rupee Debit Card is also issued to the holders of this account.

Holders of State Bank of India Basic Savings Bank Deposit (BSBD) accounts can withdraw money up to 4 times free of cost through bank branches and ATMs. After that the service charge has to be paid. Customers who withdraw money at ATMs will be charged Rs.15 + GST.
State Bank of India offers its Basic Savings Bank Deposit (BSBD) customers 10 checks a financial year free of cost. After that, the book will be charged Rs 40 and GST. 25 Leap Check Book will be charged Rs.75 and GST. Rs 50 and GST will be charged in case of urgent need for a checkbook. Senior citizens are exempt from the new service charge in the check book.
Earlier this month, State Bank of India cut interest rates on home loans to 6.70%. State Bank of India charges 6.70% interest on home loans up to Rs 30 lakh and 6.95% interest on loans between Rs 30 lakh and Rs 75 lakh. For home loans up to Rs 75 lakh, 7.05% interest is charged.
