The Jawaharlal Nehru University campus is going to reopen from Monday after nearly six months (closed since April). As part of the decision to open the campus in a phased manner, in the first phase, the doors of the department and library and lab are being opened for all the students of final year PhD. However, for entry at the campus gate, students will get entry on showing 72 hours old RTPCR negative report to JNU Security. Apart from this, there will be a ban on the arrival of students, teachers and personnel from the areas of the Containment Zone. Wearing a mask will be mandatory. If anyone violates the Kovid-19 rules, then disciplinary action, fine besides other legal action including IPC (Indian Penal Code) 166 will be taken.
The JNU management has issued a notification late Saturday evening to open the campus under the first phase from September 6. It is written that the campus is being opened from Monday for the final year students of PhD program, especially those who have to submit their thesis by 31 December 2021. In this hostel and all local researchers will be allowed to come. To comply with the Kovid rules, students will also have to fill up a self-attested letter.
Online studies of undergraduate, postgraduate
From classes till the completion of the monsoon semester for common students, all the exams will be conducted in online mode as before. All departments and their libraries will remain closed.
Decision to open Central Library
