New Delhi: The State Bank of India (SBI) explains to customers how to protect their accounts from cybercrime. India’s largest creditors say strong passwords are essential. “Strong passwords guarantee a higher level of security. Here are eight ways to create unbreakable passwords and protect yourself from cybercrime. SBI Online Net Banking

  1. SBI customers can use both uppercase and lowercase letters. Example: aBjsE7uG
  2. State Bank of India customers must use both numbers and symbols. Example: AbjsE7uG61! @
  3. You can use a minimum of 8 characters for proper security. Example: aBjsE7uG.
  4. SBI advises customers not to use common dictionary words. Example: it islocked or thisismypassword
  5. SBI customers should not use easy-to-remember keyboard paths such as “qwearty” or “asdfg”. Instead, play with the keyboard and add emoji.
  6. SBI customers must not keep explicit passwords such as 12345678 or abcdefg.
  7. SBI customers do not use easy-to-guess alternatives such as DOORBELL – DOOR8377.
  8. SBI advises customers to keep their passwords long and not related to family / birthday. Example – Ramesh @ 1967.
