Of the 6100 posts to be filled by State Bank of India (SBI), there are 125 vacancies in Telangana and 100 in Andhra Pradesh. These posts are available in all the districts of Telugu states. Millions of candidates have applied for these Apprentice posts as the minimum qualifying degree.

Selection Process- Examination Procedure:
These Apprentice posts are selected through online written test, Test of Language. The written test is for 100 marks. There will be a total of 100 questions. Time is one hour. There will be 25 marks for 25 questions on General and Financial Awareness. Time 15 minutes. There will be 25 marks for 25 questions on General English. Time 15 minutes. There will be 25 marks for 25 questions on Quantitative Aptitude. Time 15 minutes. There will be 25 marks for 25 questions on Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude. Time 15 minutes. The questions in the written test will be in English and Hindi.
There is a negative marking policy. A deduction of 1/4 mark will be levied for each wrong answer. The bank determines the minimum qualifying marks. Makes merit list by states and categories. If two candidates get the same cutoff marks, one will be selected on the basis of age.

Those who qualify in the written test will have a test of local language. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the local language. Eligible for Apprentice post if qualified in this exam. There will be no language test for those studying in the local language in Tent or Inter. There will be a written test, a test of language as well as a medical examination. The test centers in the Telugu states are:
- In Andhra Pradesh, Chirala, Guntur, Kadapa, Kakinada, Kurnool, Nellore, Rajahmundry, Srikakulam, Tirupati, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Vijayanagaram.
- In Telangana, examination centers will be set up in Hyderabad, Karinganar, Khammam and Warangal.
